I’m not ashamed to say I can be a bit of a hippy at times. I like my yoga with singing bowls and “ommms” galore and my products natural and cruelty free. However, Hypnobirthing isn’t, or at least doesn’t have to be, a hippy thing. I do think the name is a little misleading – you’re not being hypnotised before pushing the baby out, and I think if more people knew what it was about, they would be more inclined to give it a go.

The Purrfect Christmas gift for your… Cat?!*
I love a good hamper. There’s something about a sweet little basket full of treats that appeals to me, and so when Prestige Hampers offered to send me something in the post, I was stoked. Would it be one of their cheese and cracker baskets? Perhaps one of the fancy chocolate ones?
No friends. I was sent a cat hamper and I couldn’t be happier!

Why You Should Definitely Not Stay Friends With Your Ex
The lovely Amy from Wandering Everywhere wrote this post about how you shouldn’t stay friends with your ex and it really resounded with me.
Pre-Christmas Getaway Ideas*
As we will have a baby by Christmas(!) I am deffo feeling rather consumed by wanderlust. Sure, summer is great for holidays, but I love taking trips outside of the school holidays as things are quieter, cheaper and all-round better. I think if you only ever travel in the summer, you’re really missing out on seeing some beautiful places in the snow, or enjoying a bit of winter sun, and besides, the world is too big to limit when you visit! So, I headed over to Cickstay to check out some of their villas, apartments and holiday rentals to put together some dream destinations.
Things I have learned since my mum passed away
My Mum passed away just over two months ago and honestly, it still doesn’t feel real. I keep going to call her, to tell her about the crazy stuff that’s happening, or to run funeral ideas past her. The most difficult thing was finding out we are having a baby boy and feeling an emptiness all day at not being able to call her. But throughout this pretty crappy time, I’ve learned some things, and that seems worth a blog post (gotta get that content right?)
Haute Dolci Luxury Desserts*
When it comes to luxury, I am not a fancy lady at all. I don’t wear designer clothes, and I’m happy enough in a budget hotel, however, one luxury area I can get on board with is desserts, so when I was invited to try out Haute Dolci and their range of deliciously decadent desserts, I didn’t hesitate in saying yes!
Rocking Maternity Wear with Boohoo*
When I imagined myself pregnant, I figured I would wear long flowy dresses, and paint-splattered dungarees every day and look like a life-giving Goddess. Really, I’ve been wearing dresses that are too small, and ride up because my bump is too big, thus showing my bum to the world. I’ve found it hard to find maternity clothes that aren’t too ‘mumsy’, as I’m just not there yet. So when Boohoo asked if I wanted to check out their selection of maternity wear, I was so on board!
