Today’s prompt for Blog Every Day in November was ‘Love Mondays’, so I decided to do something a bit different with it…
Dear You,
#BEDN: Something New About Yourself
This year, I’ve decided to take part in Blog Every Day in November (#BEDN). It’s November 1st and I had already forgotten until now (4pm) – good job Codie! I’ve never been great at doing something consistently everyday, I can have the greatest intentions but my head is always in the clouds so to rarely pans out. Hopefully BEDN will be different!
Today’s prompt is “Something New About Yourself”…
Top 5 (Non-Bath) Lush Products
As we discovered previously, I bloody love Lush! In the last blog, I discussed my favourite bath products, so today I thought we’d branch out and look at what else Lush has to offer!
My Favourite Lush Bath Bombs & Bubble Bars
I LOVE Lush. As someone who spends an almost obscene amount of time in the bath, I am a self confessed Lushie, and could happily talk anyone’s ear off about the many wonderful things about Lush products. So, I figured it was time for a blog!
Getting Out of My Blogging Slump
In the past few days, every time I’ve sat down to try and write a blog post, whether it’s been on the train, in my home office or even during lunchtime at work, nothing has happened. The words have started to come out, but not a nice flow of well-structured sentences, but more a jagged drip of… awful!
I’ll put this down to having to write so much content during my day job, that maybe my head has just ran out of words. Either way, I’ve lost (that lovin’ feelin’) my blogging spark!
(Bat) Wingin’ It This Halloween (Guest Post!)
Today’s post is written by the hilarious Bethan, who happens to be my make-up, fashion and general life advisor.
Bethan is a wannabe Disney Princess living “Up North”. She enjoys fall out boy, cheesy anime and man buns. You can follow her Twitter @Beyfbaby and on Tumblroo www.tumblr.com/beyfbaby
What We Left Behind – Robin Talley: A Review
It’s important to preface this review by saying that I, personally, do not have any experience of being transgender, and therefore cannot comment fully on whether this book is an accurate representation or not. I do, however, have a few trans* friends, from whom I have learnt as much as possible, and so I can only really base my critique of that part of the story, on the knowledge I have picked up through research and conversations, and not through lived experience, which of course, would be far more valid.
The Scorch Trials: Book VS Film
Today’s post was written by a dear friend of mine, Rachel Hatton. Rachel has amazing taste in books and films, as well as being a hugely talented writer, and so she’s easily the best person to write this comparison between the Maze Runner series of books and the recent film, The Scorch Trials
Carefully Everywhere Descending – L.B Bedford – Review
I was lucky enough to be sent a copy of this book ahead of its release on October 1st by the lovely people at Harmony Ink Press.
La Bandera, Manchester Review
It’s not very often I get to go out for anything fancier than Pizza Express (man, I love dough-balls!), so when I do, it’s only right that I blog about it!
