You are a busy mum. Make no mistake, being a parent is a full-time position. If you have a professional job, as well, whether it is at home, out of the home, or anything in between, you have more on your plate than you ever thought you could manage. And yet somehow you are doing just that. Some days are messy and disorganised, while other days you think, “I’ve got this.” Regardless of where your life lands right now, you might be ready for a personal rebrand because your persona has taken a backseat to everything else.

Find a More “You” Vehicle
If you have been driving the same old mum-friendly minivan for years now, you might feel like you no longer know who you are when you slide open that side door to access your kids. That is perfectly okay. It certainly has been a good vehicle for you and your family, and it has served its purpose with valour.
What about you, though? What do you really want to drive around town? It is not necessarily about what you want to be seen driving. Instead, it is about what you want to see yourself driving in. Consider test-driving a Range Rover Defender. A vehicle like this still has the safety features you require and the space you need, but it is so much more. You will feel more like an individual when you drive something like this instead of just a mum, which, of course, you are and significantly more.
Look in the Mirror
The way you look has a direct impact on how you feel. If you do not feel confident, then you should take action. Look at your hair and makeup, has it been a while since you have changed your palette or cut? If so, you can make a few changes or updates to reflect who you are right now and rebrand yourself for who you want to be.

Find a Professional Outlet
If you are already employed in a capacity beyond mum and spouse, it is time to reassess your current position. Are you happy with your work? Does it give you meaning? Is the pay commensurate with your abilities, experience, and education? If something is missing or you deserve more than you are receiving in your workplace, perhaps you should look into other options.
If you like your company and co-workers but want more, schedule a meeting with your supervisor or boss to discuss your options. Go into the meeting with confidence and always be prepared. You need to sell yourself and prove your value to the company. You can do this by offering hard facts regarding your sales numbers, project management data, workflow improvements, or anything else that applies to your position and how you have made the company better. Tell your boss that you would like to discuss your future with the company and are interested in more opportunities for leadership, responsibility, and growth, and of course, compensation.

Get ready to make positive waves in your life. Rebrand who you are while still being who you want to be. Make small changes or big ones, the right changes are the ones that work for you. You can start small and go from there.
