Lola and the Boy Next-door is the sequel to the incredible, Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. Of course, as I have already explained, I stupidly thought they stood alone and read the last two in the wrong order. As long as you’ve read Anna first, it isn’t a huge problem, but it is a little frustrating when …
Topcashback!
I am not usually one to join weird internet sites that promise to make you money, I am always terrified I’ll do something wrong and end up bankrupt of what little money I actually have and it’ll be my own stupid fault. On the plus side, this means I am incredibly cautious when it comes to things like this, so …
I’m not sorry for my degree!
Whenever I am asked what degree I did at university, I am always overly apologetic in my tone as I reply ‘Dance and Drama with Design’. I always quip something like ‘So, y’know, I’m super employable now’ in an incredibly self-depreciating way. I should really stop this. I am damn employable. Not only is my ‘pointless’ degree at a first …
Home: Update!
So, only a few days after the big move (and not much of this time actually spent in our dream home) I feel it is a good time to reflect. Our place is finally beginning to feel like a home, our home, and that is both wonderful and terrifying all at once. NaNoWriMo: It begins!
Hello lovely readers! and Happy 1st of November. This marks the start of many things, Movember, the run up to Christmas (because as soon as Halloween is over no one can tell me I can’t be getting ready for the best holiday of the year!) and of course, NaNoWriMo. I’ve been signed up to NaNoWriMo for several years, which has only really meant getting several emails a year and feeling guilty for never actually even starting the project.
Isla and the Happily Ever After: Review
Before we start, I do realise that I read the second two books in this series in the wrong order, but it makes sense to review them in the order I read them. I didn’t realise it would be much of an issue, because I didn’t know that some of the characters cross over and the end of this story …
Living with Debt
When you tell people you have a Wonga loan, their first reaction is to call you stupid, or tell you to be better with money. This is a crappy reaction. Until you know the full story of a person, you have no right to judge (& often still not even then!)
Home is wherever I’m with you
Codiekinz finally grows up enough to move to a real grown up home. Eek!
