My Purrfect Gift Box*

Subscriptions are the ultimate present to yourself and I am a huge fan. Over the past few years I’ve subscribed to several, from the well known beauty boxes, to super cute indie stationary, however, never have I been as impressed as with ‘My Purrfect Gift Box’.

I love cats. Especially my own little furry bean, Squidge. So when I heard about a subscription that was for cat lovers and cat owners alike, I was in. I’ve seen a few boxes that will send you treats for your pet (though a lot more dogs than cats), however this is the first one I’ve seen that sends you things for you too! In fact, if you’re a cat lover, but not a cat owner (my deepest sympathies friend), you can choose to get a box that is full of cat-themed gifts for you, without the kitty treats for a furry friend.

Often, the problem with these boxes, is that you maybe get one really exciting item, but everything else is a little ‘meh’. After being sent three boxes from My Purrfect Gift Box, I am yet to be at all disappointed with a single item. Everything is Grade A gold and there are no “filler” gifts.

One thing I love, is that a lot of the items are from indie artists or small businesses and there’s at least one thing in each box (usually more!), that has me searching for more of a creator’s work. Even the food and edible treats are organic, or smaller brands that you may not have tried before. It’s a lot of fun seeing Squidge’s different responses to new treats and he certainly has his favourites!

For the first two boxes, I did unboxing videos which you can watch here and here. For this month’s box, I thought I would take some nice pictures to show off the items we got. I say ‘nice’ pictures but I am still learning – they certainly do not do the products any justice!)

My absolute favourite things from this month’s box were the gorgeous sunglasses and case. I’ve been looking for a nice pair of cat-eye sunnies for a while but I kept chickening out and going back to my trusty (but boring) pair. Now I’ve got these ones, I can’t stop wearing them. Awkward, because there isn’t actually a lot of sun here at the moment, but I don’t even care.

The tote bag is perfect to keep my crochet in (bloody hell, when did I get so old?!) and there was even catnip lip balm! I didn’t even know that was a thing! The luggage tags are so unique and beautifully subtle so I can celebrate my love of cats on holiday, without looking like a child.

Squidge loves the toys he gets and this month was a giant sweet which he loves rolling around. His favourite is probably the catnip fish which gets carried around the house a whole lot. We were wanting a new dish to put elsewhere in the house full of water to make sure he keeps hydrated in the hot weather (that is coming and going!) so this adorable ceramic dish is ideal!

I have had lots of compliments on my grey and bronze cat scarf (seen in the pictures as a backdrop for some of the items – I couldn’t resist!) and the beautiful pressed-flower necklace. I have had to use the umbrella a lot which is a shame (stupid weather!) but the pain is eased somewhat by how colourful it is!

The gifts are packaged in purple shredded paper which either goes in the recycling, or, more likely Squidge steals half to hide around the house and I steal the other half to use instead of tissue paper in gift bags. I love that there’s no waste!

Not only that, but they donate 5% of profits each month to a different cat charity! Amazing.

I really cannot thank My Purrfect Gift Box enough for letting me review their one-of-a-kind subscription box. It’s such an amazing idea and I will continue to recommend it to everyone I meet.

*I was very kindly gifted this box in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. All my opinions are entirely my own – the crazy cat lady that I am!
