Family Festival Traditions (+ A Family Ticket Giveaway!)

One thing Steven and I talk about a lot is family traditions. The ones we have from our own families and the ones we want to start when we have our own little family. It’s amazing that when you get married and start a new family with someone, you get to decide what traditions you are going to start or carry on and that’s something I am really excited about.

We want to be the kind of parents who take their kids to family festivals during the summer for sure. My first ever festival was Leeds fest in 2013, (which incidentally was with Steven!) and there were some families there rocking out with their kids which I loved. However, when you’ve got little ones (which we hopefully will in the next few years!) there are some amazing family-focussed festivals that offer enough to keep parents happy and the kids entertained.

One such festival is Down by the Riverside Festival. The riverside in question is the banks of the River Wyre in Lancashire and it is a jam-packed weekend festival that I just so happen to have a family camping ticket to give away for!

There is so much going on at this festival, I can’t mention it all, but I’ll cover some of the best!

There is a huge charity treasure hunt for budding detectives, a river mermaid to protect your dreams, body therapies for a pamper, art, a play fort, workshops, a hay bale maze, live music, food & drink from around the world and so much more!

It’s the 1st and 2nd of June so the perfect way to kick off the summer!

Good luck!

Small(ish) print: The competition is a family ticket with camping for the weekend! There is no travel budget, nor cash alternative. The feature picture is from Pexels, the real festival will look way cooler!

  1. We have just bought a new tent (like… yesterday!) and this would be the BEST opportunity to see how it fairs over a weekend
