BlogOnX Introduce Yourself Linky

I am so excited to be going to BlogOn again this year! It’s one of the best blogging events I’ve ever been to, with a goody-bag so big you genuinely need a suitcase! The first time I went, there was a small group of us, but this year I’m going on my lonesome and I’m very nervous but excited to meet new people. So, here is the BlogOnX Introduce yo’self linky, even if you’re not attending, it might be fun to read.

Share a recent photo of yourself.
The photo I’ve used as the cover of this post is the most recent one I have of me. I’m trying to be more confident with having my photo taken and I love the pattern on this wall – it’s so fun!

What’s your favourite pizza topping?
I’m a basic cheese and tomato kinda gal.

You can have dinner with any three guests dead or alive- who do you choose and why?
I’d love to have dinner with the Obamas! I think they would be the perfect mix of goofy fun and intelligent debates. If I was dinning with Barack and Michelle, my husband would have to come – partially because he would never forgive me, but also because I would be pretty star struck so I’d need someone there to make sure I didn’t make too much of a fool out of myself.

Up to now what would you consider being your biggest life achievement?
I went through a really bad time where I was practically homeless, not on the streets, but crashing on couches. I had no money and was in so much debt, despite working two jobs across 18 hour days. I went to uni, cleared up all my debt, got a first class degree and sorted my life out. I’m pretty proud of that.

If you woke up tomorrow as a character from any Disney film or book who would you be and why?
Mulan is my fave, but I would more likely by Ezma from Emperor’s New Groove – haha!

What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
Snooze my alarm. Several times!

If you won the lottery what would be the very first thing you would buy and why?
I’d be the worst for just buying houses for friends and family. But I think at first I’d be so scared to spend any! I’d probably start with something basic like food – I’m so boring.

What is your favourite quote from a movie?
Oh my gosh, that’s so hard! It changes all the time. I recently re-watched Juno (what a film!) so I’ll choose my favourite quote from that: “Thata ain’t no etch-a-sketch. Thats one doodle that can’t be un-did home skillet.”

If you were a superhero what would your super power be?
I’d like to be able to affect people’s moods. Make them happier, or more empathetic – I think it could be quite useful!

What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
Everything happens for a reason – I live by that, and it helps the crap seem less random.

Which emoji do you use the most?
The money covering it’s eyes – I’m a dork.

If you could go back in time and tell yourself anything what would it be?
I’d love to go back to when I had the worst break up and thought I would never be happy again, and show myself my wedding video. I think broken hearted 19-year-old me needed to know that things worked out amazingly.

What do you currently have set as the wallpaper on your phone?
A wedding photo, of course. However, on my Apple Watch it’s a picture of Dwight from the Office and I’m pretty sure some people think he’s my husband haha!

If you could do anything in the world as a legitimate job what would you do?
Just cuddle cats. Not do any of the hard work, just let them sleep on me while I scroll through my phone and take selfies.

Where is your favourite place in the world?
I absolutely love Amsterdam. One of the happiest moments I ever remember is sitting in a restaurant, drinking wine and just feeling so happy my heart could burst.

I’m so excited to meet everyone at BlogOn and learn ALL OF THE THINGS!

  1. I’m also going alone this time too! I’ll be in Manchester the whole weekend ? Give me 5 years of going & I’ll be fine, haha. See you there!

  2. It’ll be great to meet you. Well done for picking yourself up out of the hole and going to get what you could out of life – congratulations on the 1st class degree – you obviously really earned it 🙂

  3. Wouldn’t it be amazing to talk to the Obamas? They always conducted themselves with such class – unlike the current occupant of the White House …

  4. Hi, visiting from the Linky List. That’s a huge achievement, turning your life around, I want to say ‘well done’ but to me that always sounds condescending (throwback to mean teacher at school LOL!) x

  5. I must be one of the only bloggers who hasn’t found a Instagram/picture worthy wall like this before and actually have somebody with me at the time to take a picture lol Love your picture!! Its lovely to hear that you manage to turn your life around it cant have been easy and most certainly something to be proud about! Did you know there are cat cafes all over the world? I only know because a fellow blogger friend of mine recently went to one and posted some pictures! I never knew! Looking forward to saying hy at BlogOn! AK x

  6. I would love to visit Amsterdam, it is a beautiful country! You should be incredibly proud of yourself for what you have been through and come out the other side! Would be lovely to meet you at BlogOn!

  7. That’s a pretty amazing achievement! You should be very proud 🙂
