Fun fact, Steven’s all-time favourite film is Toy Story, so you better believe that anything Toy Story themed that we can find for baby Roo, we have to grab! This has proven particularly expensive over the past few weeks, with the new film coming out, but we have noticed a majority of stuff is only suitable for much older children so when we came across these amazing baby toys, we were SO excited! Luckily, I was sent a Buzz to review and I’m even running a competition to win your very own – Yay!
I love these little pram toys for baby Roo as they can fasten on to the car seat or pram, or even just thrown in the nappy bag to keep him quiet when we’re out and about. The circle clip on the top is really easy to attach to things, but Ruben also loves to chomp on it as I think the little bumps feel nice on his poor gums.
This is a really great, tactile toy, with so much to explore. His wings are that amazing crinkle material that babies LOVE, and the bottom of his shoes are made of a different, soft, textured material, with the same crinkle sound too. He’s carrying a little ‘To infinity and beyond’ circle with a little rattle inside, which is a great size for tiny hands. In his other hand, he has two little plastic shapes, which Ruben really enjoyed chewing on and playing with – these are perfect for developing those fine motor skills.
He’s got a jingly body and a really soft, velour-feeling head so even though there’s a lot of fun bits going on, he’s also cuddle-able. Buzz seems really durable and even with Ruben slobbering away on him, I just gave him a little wipe with a sponge and he was as good as new. It’s suitable for birth, so it’s a great gift for a new baby too!
I love that he has a really friendly face but is still recognisable as the Buzz Lightyear that we know and love. Ruben likes toys that he can squeeze and make noises with and I am not a fan of the clunky plastic ones that make annoying, repetitive electronic noises, so this is the perfect compromise for us both!
I think this is going to be a firm favourite in the toy box (which I will be upcycling this week – watch this space!) and I may have to treat him to the Woody and Jesse ones too!
