If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen me complain about how uncomfortable I am in the last few weeks in pregnancy, and how much I’ve been struggling to sleep at night (and yet just wanting to spend my days sleeping – sigh!). The midwife explained to us at the last appointment that rest while pregnant is so important, as your body just won’t do what it’s supposed to if it’s tired (or hungry, or thirsty – although the amount I am eating, I certainly won’t be going hungry anytime soon!). So that’s why when Leesa offered to gift me one of their mattresses, I jumped at the chance!
Being pregnant is really bloody hard. I won’t go into all the reasons why, but if there is ever a time you need a holiday, it’s when you’re pregnant. A baby moon might seem a little extra, but when you really think about the fact that in just a few more weeks your life is going to be turned upside down by a tiny tornado and this is the last time you’ll be able to travel with your other half as just the two of you, you’ll start to see why it’s a necessity.
When it comes to luxury, I am not a fancy lady at all. I don’t wear designer clothes, and I’m happy enough in a budget hotel, however, one luxury area I can get on board with is desserts, so when I was invited to try out Haute Dolci and their range of deliciously decadent desserts, I didn’t hesitate in saying yes!
Nude Jewellry has some really lovely, unique pieces, including these beautiful pearls! Check them out here!
Don’t get me wrong, I love chocolate. The idea of a little square of chocolate every day for the whole month of December is one that brings me joy. However, recently I have been really interested by the other advent options that are out there. Any sort of surprise gift every day is a win in my eyes so I have decided to cover a few of the most popular alternative Advent calendars available this year.
Subscriptions are the ultimate present to yourself and I am a huge fan. Over the past few years I’ve subscribed to several, from the well known beauty boxes, to super cute indie stationary, however, never have I been as impressed as with ‘My Purrfect Gift Box’.
impression that hotels should be nice and fancy (& a little pretentious), with an over priced restaurant and unnecessary room service. However, after staying in two Roomzzz apart-hotels, I am actually gutted that they’re not in more cities – I love them! (They are also incredibly priced if you’re on a budget!)
My name’s Codie, and I LOVE steak. It’s up there with my favourite foods and is probably 90% of the reason I’ve not yet managed to become vegetarian. I bloody love steak. (I enjoy it medium-rare, so you could say I love bloody steak!). So when I heard about Wilson’s Kitchen in Southport having a steak special on a Wednesday, and our anniversary happening to be on a Wednesday, it felt like fate – or at least a happy coincidence!
Today’s #BEDN prompt is “style”. I’m currently sat here in my PJs and a giant varsity hoody from a University I didn’t even go to – so safe to say that I am not the right person to talk style in regards to fashion! That said, I decided I’d do a little home office tour, as it’s the only room in the house that is entirely mine, (& the kitten’s too of course!) and I think it shows off my “style” the best.
