Okay, so maybe I’m being a little generous calling this an IKEA “hack” seeing as it doesn’t require any sawing, or really any extra tools at all, but bare with me because I felt like a damn genius when I did this.
Today’s #BEDN prompt is “style”. I’m currently sat here in my PJs and a giant varsity hoody from a University I didn’t even go to – so safe to say that I am not the right person to talk style in regards to fashion! That said, I decided I’d do a little home office tour, as it’s the only room in the house that is entirely mine, (& the kitten’s too of course!) and I think it shows off my “style” the best.
I have never been to Disneyland, and so, being the big child I am, I am unbelievably excited for my first trip there on Friday! We’re going with Steven’s whole family, his Mum, Dad, Sister, Brother-in-law and their four children so it’s going to be amazing!
I figured, if I’m going to do it, I should do it properly, and that’s why I have been crafting my little heart out for some Disney-themed wearables! I’m pretty happy with how they came out so I figured I would show you how I did them!
My mantra for this wedding is ‘I only plan on doing this once, so let’s do it right’. Don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t mean I want to spend a whole bunch of unnecessary money on it, but I do want it to be special. So, instead of just calling my friends to ask them to be Bridesmaids, I decided to make a little keep sake for them to pop the question as it were. I looked all over Pinterest but everything seemed to cost quite a bit, and with a fair few bridesmaids, I just couldn’t afford that!
As I was going home just a few days after we had gotten engaged, and I wanted to ask them in person, this meant I had to think fast, on a very tight budget. I got a multi pack of matches, in the bigger box, for about £1. Everything else used were just bits and pieces from my over flowing craft drawers.
So over on my Youtube channel I alluded to the fact that for me, 2015 will be the ‘Year of Creative Indulgence’, and I would like to add, of ‘Spiritual Healing’, because I’m a big hippy who likes pretentious sounding titles! But what does that actually mean…?
