Cheap & Easy Disneyland Trip DIYs!

I have never been to Disneyland, and so, being the big child I am, I am unbelievably excited for my first trip there on Friday! We’re going with Steven’s whole family, his Mum, Dad, Sister, Brother-in-law and their four children so it’s going to be amazing!
I figured, if I’m going to do it, I should do it properly, and that’s why I have been crafting my little heart out for some Disney-themed wearables! I’m pretty happy with how they came out so I figured I would show you how I did them!

Micky Ears!

IMG_4386Pinterest is full of amazing themed Micky ears, and you can buy some incredible ones from Etsy, however, with there beingIMG_4391 so many of us, I wanted to make them to save some money!

I bought some super cheap headbands that were 2 for £1 in Poundland, and just happened to have Disney characters on them! I also grabbed some plastic flowers from Dunelm Mill. I was hoping for smaller ones, but these actually worked out really well. I also picked up some gardeners wire from the Range for about 60p, so even for this many, it was super cheap!

It was literally a case of hot glue gunning (carefully!) the flowers onto the ears. For my pair, I got a little more adventurous and glued extra flowers to some wire to go around the Sunflowers, but it was quite fiddly and I burnt my poor fingers a lot (I am not very careful when it comes to crafting!) plus it used too many of the little flowers so I went a bit simpler with the others.

For the boys, I decided to try buttons. I always have buttons around, they’re such a good craft material and I think these will look so cute on them all!

Shoes

These were £3 for a pair in Primark and just required a Sharpie! I drew the shape out in pencil first because I knew I would mess it up! I also went over it

IMG_4397 with paint because it wasn’t black enough for my liking (I think it was an oldish Sharpie!). I got those super cute Minnie buttons from the Range for about£2.50 for a pack and so I popped two on my shoes so we have soppy His ’n’ Hers shoes! They might not last longer than the trip but I’m not too worried.

Bleach-shirt

IMG_4399Another Pinterest idea! This came out a bit different to how I had thought, but I think that’s probably because I got overexcited with the bleach! I literally just cut out a Micky head from card and stuck it down, then sprayed some Domestos Bleach spray on it. It took a while to develop (hence me spraying even more on it…!) and I think that’s probably because it was a ready-made formula. It cost me £1, and the t-shirt was around £2.50 from Primark so all in all I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!

Sharpie-shirts

I made a stencil of the iconic castle and again stuck it on these plain white t-shirts (Primark again of course!). I usedIMG_4398 three coloured Sharpies and literally just dotted around and about. I hot-glue-gunned some Minnie buttons around the neckline and on one of them, I made holes in the side and threaded some Minnie Mouse ribbon through it. These were a lot of fun to make and came out better than I had expected!

These were cheap and easy to make. They may not be Disney quality but great if you have kids – they can help make them and hopefully the novelty of that will be enough to stop them pestering you for the over-priced versions!

If you have made anything for your Disney trip, I’d love to see it!
